Description
A packer is part of the packing crew and is responsible for packing the final product into the appropriate packaging for our customers. It includes monitoring the product for quality and sizing. The packer is critical to ensuring quality for our customers and consumers.
Duties
- Package and weigh mushrooms in preparation for shipment to customers.
- Operate in one of five areas: bulk, sliced, prepack, portabello, and specialty
- Ensure accurate size and mushroom types are packaged
- Complete customer orders according to their product requirements
- General sanitation practices and perform good housekeeping in work areas
Requirements
- Ability to work in cool temperatures
- Work quickly with attention to detail
- Most finished cases are between 5-10 pounds
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Operate a pallet jack
