It takes about 60 days from the start of composting before we begin to harvest a mushroom.
Mushrooms are grown indoors, so we don’t measure our farm by acres. The mushroom industry uses square feet instead. We plant between 25,000-30,000 square feet each week, depending on our customer demand.
We grow white (button), crimini, and portabello mushrooms.
Yes. It is a good practice to wash all produce. For mushrooms, it is best to wash the mushrooms just before use. This will extend the shelf-life.
We currently supply mushrooms to the Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles food service and retail markets.
