Schedule: 5 days per week, 40-48 hours
Pay: Based on heavy equipment experience
Description
The compost operator is part of the composting crew and is responsible for produce the compost which is the starting point of growing mushrooms. Working outside year-round, composting is a critical step to growing high-yield crops.
Duties
-
- Stage compost raw materials
- Add supplements to compost
- Turn compost to add water and mix supplements
- Unload raw materials from suppliers
- Responsible for daily inspection, light maintenance and proper clean-up and fuelling and proper storage of equipment.
Requirements

- OSHA forklifts certification
- Ability to work outdoors year-round
- Prefer experience, but will train safely on how to operate heavy equipment.
- Able to work with people and follow written and verbal instructions.
