Description
The Disease Control department is part of the Growing department. As the mushrooms grow, diseased mushrooms must be identified and removed from the trays to prevent further spread. Controlling the spread of the disease greatly impacts the yield of the crops.
Duties
- Remove and treat diseased areas on the growing trays
- Bag and dispose of diseased mushrooms
- Use good sanitation and hygiene to prevent the spread of disease
- Support growers in other sanitations functions
- Spraying halls and rooms and spraying wharf during fly control season.
Requirements
